
Katie Hunter

​Katie Hunter is a actress and playwright from Kansas City, currently based in Chicago. Her work has received numerous awards including Young Playwright Inc's Write-A-Play and the International Thespian Society's Playworks award. Her plays have been performed Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theater, in Chicago at the American Theater Company, across the US and abroad in Morocco, and have been published in Dramatics magazine. Katie trained in ballet and modern dance at Bard College (Bill T. Jones Company-in-Residence), and received a BA from the University of Chicago in Theatre/Performance Studies and Cinema/Media Studies. Katie has performed regionally at the New Theatre, The American Heartland, The Coterie and Starlight, and most recently at Worlds of Fun amusement park with Cedar Fair Entertainment. Katie currently improvises with the Dinner Detective at the Millenium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago, IL.​

Katie is also a regional workshop coach with the Chicago branch of the International Performing Arts Academy. She teaches acting and modeling at their John Hancock office, and travels throughout the Midwest with their talent search team.
